A school trip to Salamanca

A SCHOOL TRIP TO SALAMANCA

On 8th. November 2019, the bilingual students in the first year of ESO went on a trip to visit the old part of Salamanca. We took the bus to go there and we had to wait at the back of Casa Lis for a long time because we arrived early.

Then, we had a problem because there was another group of students there, but we joined them and the guide and we started the visit.

The guide told us about :

 .- Tentenecio Street

.- San Juan de Sahagún’s miracles:

“The yellow well” story and the story of the bull on Tentenecio Street.

.- Lazarillo de Tormes.

.- The history of the two cathedrals and we visited them.
The visit took an hour and a half.  Then, we took the bus back to Santa Marta and to school.

WHAT WE LIKED.

There were a lot of things we liked. For example: the history of Hannibal coming to Salamanca, the paintings on the walls in the cathedrals

the façade with the astronaut, the dragon and the ice-cream, the inner part of them; spending time with our friends, the ride on the bus to go there…

WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE.

We didn’t like the cold weather. Being with another group wasn’t so nice because we were too many. Some of us didn’t like the silence inside the cathedral and others thought that the visit was short.

WHAT WE LEARNED.

.- The story of the “verraco”

.- Hannibal’s story.

.- The story of the blind man and Lazarillo.

...

It was a fun trip!!!!!!!!
