Its name in Irish is "Baile Átha Cliath", and the name "Dublin" comes from "Dubh Linn", which means "BLACK LAGOON". It is the capital of the Republic of Ireland and the most populated city of the island. It is located near the center of the east coast on the Irish Sea, at the river mouth of the Liffey River and in the center of Dublin County.
